Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the operations of Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation, ensuring alignment with our Vision and Mandate.
- Support the Board of Directors in strategic decision-making and governance.
- Negotiate program funding and advocate for justice services for Nishnawbe-Aski Nation communities.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and Chiefs of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in law, business administration, finance, human resources, or related fields.
- Education and/or equivalent experience in the Ontario Legal system.
- Familiarity with the geographical area of Nishnawbe-Aski Legal communities.
- Experience with the Euro-Canadian Legal system and knowledge of indigenous justice systems.
- Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree, or Cree (an asset).
- 6% pension matching.
- Full-time position (35 hours per week).
