About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Baycrest, a leading healthcare organization. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our Human Resources department with data-driven insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting (40%):
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and Informatics to collect, analyze, and interpret workforce data and HR metrics.
  • Develop detailed reports and data visualizations to present insights and trends.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic workforce planning and organizational development.
Workforce Forecasting and Planning (30%):
  • Develop and manage workforce forecasts to predict future staffing needs and trends.
  • Analyze staffing trends and provide insights into workforce requirements and planning strategies.
  • Partner with HR and departmental leaders to align workforce planning with organizational goals.
Technology Integration and Enhancement (20%):
  • Work closely with other departments such as Informatics and Business Intelligence to leverage technology and improve the use of HR data.
  • Identify and implement technological solutions that enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure the integration of data systems and tools to streamline HR processes and improve data accuracy.
Strategic Insights and Recommendations (10%):
  • Offer strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to the Director of HR Shared Services.
  • Provide guidance on data-driven decision-making to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Informatics, or a related field or equivalent.
  • Advanced certification in data analysis or HR analytics (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR data analysis, workforce planning, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • In-depth knowledge of HR metrics, workforce planning, and organizational development practices.
  • Experience with HR technology platforms and data management systems.
  • Familiarity with technological solutions for data integration and process improvement.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated annual salary: $85,000 - $110,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
