Job Overview

Reports to: Service Manager – Hard Rock

Shift: 5 x 2, Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day

Location: On-site. Sudbury, Ontario

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Participate in and be committed to a strong safety culture to achieve Komatsu's organizational Safety, Health, and Environmental goals
  2. Comply with Komatsu company policies and procedures
  3. Assist/support the shop and field service technicians with mechanical tasks
  4. Perform Housekeeping Duties in the shop, office, and outside yard
  5. Operate forklift, basic hand tools, and powered hand tools
  6. Build strong working relationships with relevant co-workers
  7. Assist as required in any physical inventory and general warehouse duties
  8. Process orders through a computerized inventory system
  9. Ability to respond to on-call duties and act on potential delivery requests
  10. Coordinate freight and delivery functions when required
  11. Perform general building maintenance when required
  12. Perform general tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements
  1. Valid Driver's License and own transportation are required
  2. Ability to travel as required
  3. Previous experience in material handling
  4. Candidates must be detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy
  5. Qualified candidates will have strong work ethics and mechanical ability
  6. Experience in production and manufacturing environments is an asset
  7. Previous experience with hand tools and assembly and/or fabrication is an asset
  8. Able to lift to 10kgs safely
  9. Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving
  10. Self-motivated, can multi-task, and manage change in responsibilities
  11. Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team
  12. Fluent in computer literacy. Microsoft Office and ERP (SAP) systems experience an advantage
