We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Services Manager to join our leadership team. As a key member of our organization, you will model our values of 'We Care', 'We Show Respect', and 'We are Responsible' and ensure these values are carried through in our daily interactions with residents, families, volunteers, neighbours, and coworkers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, participating, and coordinating care services for residents in an assigned area. They will direct and supervise staff engaged in providing care and ensure the delivery of clinical excellence that supports our mission of creating caring communities.
The Care Services Manager will oversee eight main areas of focus:
- Resident-Centered Care: ensuring an atmosphere of resident-focused care is achieved and maintained.
- Interdisciplinary Services: coordinating the provision of interdisciplinary services to residents in a defined area.
- Performance Management: ensuring the efficient operations and ongoing performance management of the interdisciplinary team.
- Leadership: modelling our vision and values, and living out our mission by providing leadership to champion our quality care model and ensure the success of direct reports.
- Annual Budget: developing and managing expenses within the approved annual budget.
- Safety: contributing to a safe environment for residents, the team, and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices at all times.
- Customer Service: ensuring excellence in customer service is achieved and maintained.
- Professional Development: ensuring continuous progress in the areas of professional development and education.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a similar health-related field, a minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role, and Professional registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). They will also have CPR certification, proven interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills, and gerontology and wound management experience considered an asset.
We offer a competitive salary of $98,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including top-ups for maternal leaves and generous vacation and leave time.
