About the Opportunity

IWK Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Consultant (Project Management - Accessibility). This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a critical role in the management and coordination of our redevelopment space and leasing services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our accessibility plan, ensuring consistency with our strategy and goals. This will involve managing projects from small requests to large-scale redevelopment and equipment installation projects, including space planning, lease management, and renovations.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in project management, preferably with experience in capital redevelopment, construction management, and technology. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of program planning and strategic planning, as well as excellent word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software skills.

The Consultant will work closely with our Manager, Redevelopment & Leasing Services, to identify and oversee projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to our accessibility plan. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate redevelopment space and leasing services projects
  • Oversee the implementation of our accessibility plan
  • Ensure consistency with our strategy and goals
  • Manage projects from small requests to large-scale redevelopment and equipment installation projects
  • Coordinate space planning, lease management, and renovations
  • Work closely with our Manager, Redevelopment & Leasing Services, to identify and oversee projects
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience leading strategic and/or performance improvement related projects
  • Project management experience with capital redevelopment, construction management, and technology preferred
  • Knowledge and insight of accessibility barriers; lived experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of program planning and strategic planning
  • Excellent word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software skills
