About the Role:

This Talent Development Manager will play a vital role in supporting the Canadian team's growth and goals, focusing on the social talent they represent. The successful candidate will oversee a team of approximately 8-12 members and be responsible for ensuring they achieve their collective billing target. This involves working closely with team members to help them meet or exceed their individual billing targets, as well as the targets outlined for each represented talent.

The Talent Development Manager will lead weekly meetings with the team to analyze billings and strategize for talent, act as the first point of contact when conflicts arise, and manage everyday issues related to talent, brands, and agencies. Additionally, this role involves leading bi-weekly meetings with Talent, proactive pitching to brands and PR agencies on behalf of talent, and ideating larger group pitching efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of ATMs, TMs, and STMs, focusing on talent success and growth.
  • Lead weekly one-on-one meetings with TMs and STMs.
  • Analyze talent billings and recommend strategies.
  • Evaluate talent rosters for diversity, category fit, and other key factors, directing the team in strategic casting efforts.
  • Submit billing reports to the Managing Director at mid-month, end-of-month, and end-of-quarter.
  • Track and analyze proactive pitching efforts.
  • Ensure action items assigned to the team in status meetings are carried out.
  • Support the team in higher-level conflict resolution.
  • Escalate sensitive conflicts to the Managing Director for support.
  • Form relationships with brands and agencies on behalf of the agency.
  • Manage 2-3 high-priority social talents.
  • Ensure social talents meet their monthly and quarterly targets.

Estimated Salary Range:

$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
