Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, including picking priorities and order delivery. This position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the orderly delivery of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule delivery orders based on customer expectations and confirm timing with sales staff.
  • Provide schedules to accounting and enter into administrative systems.
  • Direct order picking flow to ensure priorities are met.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Expedite order delivery to meet commitments.
  • Monitor performance and check accuracy of orders being loaded for delivery.
  • Reconcile issues related to order delivery with customers.
  • Manage PRM process, scheduling pickups and adhering to performance goals.
  • Ensure accurate and complete delivery paperwork is entered into the system.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Customer Service Skills: Reconcile problems with customer deliveries and understand their impact on customer relations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work respectfully with staff to direct their work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and planning skills to schedule optimal delivery routes and ensure driver safety.
  • Administrative Skills: Maintain accurate delivery records and monitor changes to inventory.
  • Adherence to Policy: Follow and enforce operating and safety policies without exception.
Success Metrics

Your success in this role will be measured by:

  • Minimizing driving downtime and costs.
  • Ensuring no delivery damage occurs.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels to fulfill orders.
  • Improving customer satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolution.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
