Conair Aerial Firefighting is the largest, privately owned, fixed-wing aerial firefighting company in the world, operating a fleet of 70 specialized aircraft to combat forest fires.

We have been supporting government agencies around the globe for over five decades, with a reputation for providing exceptional service excellence, making us an industry leader.

We are aerospace engineering experts, creating 15 different airtanker types, converting hundreds of aircraft into airtankers. We are also aviation maintenance specialists, performing repair, maintenance, and overhaul on our fleet.

As operators, we provide airtankers, crew, and maintenance on contract over fire seasons to government agencies including Canada, USA, and Australia.

What You Can Expect:

As an Aviation Firefighter Captain at Conair, you will be part of a dynamic team using your skills to protect communities from wildfires.

Location: Our home base is Abbotsford, BC, Canada.

  • Operate Conair aircraft in firefighting missions both domestically and internationally.
  • Participate in regular training and adhere to all safety and operational protocols.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or have the legal right to work in Canada.
  • Ability to obtain necessary work visas for international firefighting assignments.
  • Possess a valid Canadian Driver's License and Passport.
  • Commit to residing in Canada during the fire season.
  • Hold a valid Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
  • Able to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
