Job Summary

The IT Project Manager will lead key projects at Canada Cartage that involve a strong technology component. The role requires an experienced Project Manager to manage complex projects, including a large multi-year transformational project.

This position involves managing end-to-end Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation projects, ensuring successful deployment within scope, budget, and timeline. Key responsibilities include defining project scope, deliverables, success criteria, and work breakdown structures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage WMS implementation projects from start to finish.
  • Manage project teams, stakeholders, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, progress, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal and external teams.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise to implement tools, templates, and techniques necessary for project consistency.
  • Develop metrics to measure project performance and success.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the WMS implementation lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex projects with a focus on WMS implementation.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and software development processes relevant to WMS implementation.
  • Experience working within the Warehouse Management or 3PL space with a good understanding of business lifecycles managed within supporting applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple WMS implementation projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Technical competence with Microsoft Office suite products.

Location

This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, with hybrid work options available. Some travel may be required depending on project scope.
