We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Horticulture Laborer to join our team at NEELS NURSERIES LTD.

Job Summary:

The Greenhouse Horticulture Laborer will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the growth and maintenance of ornamental trees, shrubs, and hedges in our greenhouses. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut and prepare horticultural crops for planting
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth
  • Clean and maintain greenhouse equipment and facilities
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and prevent damage
  • Weeding and other tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; experience an asset
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks

Working Conditions:

  • 40-50 hours per week, with some overtime possible
