Chief Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Estimator to lead our construction division’s estimates, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all estimating tasks and projects.
This position will coordinate with preconstruction and project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimating strategies.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with experience in wood frame construction, and proficiency in estimating software and techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the construction division’s estimates throughout the budgeting stages
- Developing and implementing efficient and effective estimating processes
- Staying ahead of industry trends and market conditions
- Coordinating with preconstruction and project managers to understand project requirements
- Preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses
- Identifying potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects
- Utilizing estimating software and databases to streamline the estimation process
- Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to develop and manage project budgets
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, and 7+ years of experience in construction estimating.
They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
