We are looking for an experienced Education Program Specialist to join our team at Loraas Disposal North Ltd. in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As an integral part of our operations, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that promote sustainable waste management practices.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education and have the ability to create engaging educational content. The successful candidate will work closely with our facilities manager to ensure that all educational programs align with our company's goals and objectives.

This is a part-time permanent role, working 24 hours per week, with flexible hours in July and August to align with the school term. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement wide-reaching educational programs to promote sustainable waste habits and behaviors.
  • Develop and lead educational programming and tours for school groups and organizations.
  • Manage the Education Centre booking system, scheduling, and bus bookings.
  • Attend industry events to stay up-to-date on best practices and network with peers.
Qualifications:
  • Certificate in Education Assistance or equivalent prior experience.
  • Previous experience in education and organizational development is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an education or training role.
  • Strong knowledge of education methodologies and effective communication skills.
  • Comfortable with technology and proficient in computer software applications.
