Job Title: Infrastructure Support Analyst

Almag Aluminum is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology Department, you will play a critical role in analyzing and implementing technical solutions to support the integration and standardization of our Information Technology systems and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to network security events and incident escalations from the first-level support.
  • Manage IT infrastructure projects, design, installation, upgrade, migration, configuration, integration, and testing.
  • Execute and schedule server patching.
  • Investigate, optimize, tune, design, and implement best practices across systems and applications.
  • Develop clear, concise installation, configuration procedures, run books, and other documentation as required to maintain and achieve operational standards and compliance.
  • Provide necessary support and work with various providers on key technologies such as Active Directory, Servers & Storage, Virtualization, Disaster & Recovery, Security, and Compliance.
  • Develop automated approaches and scripts for system administration tasks where possible and appropriate.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot IT infrastructure problems: engaging other team members and partners as necessary to resolve issues as soon as possible.
  • Provide Tier III support and after-hours (on call) support of critical systems and processes, intervening to correct issues when necessary.
  • Perform monitoring, OS, and software upgrade, and regular maintenance of servers, storage, and other equipment.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement IT/OT converged systems that enable secure seamless communication and collaboration between IT and OT systems.
  • Analyze current IT systems, and networking, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with IT and OT teams to understand requirements and develop technical strategies for implementing secure and resilient converged networks.
  • Provide support, training, and coaching of other members in the team.
  • Other miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years' technical experience in supporting Server Infrastructure, Virtualization, Storage Devices (SAN), and Active Directory services.
  • 5+ year experience in configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN.
  • 5+ years Experience with data centers, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V.
  • 5+ years Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, TCP/IP, File & Print Services, Microsoft Intune.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Cloud computing (Azure, AWS, Office 365).
  • Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting SSL VPN access, FortiGate Administration.
  • Solid understanding of storage (Veeam Backup and Replication).
  • Previous experience implementing network architecture (LAN / WAN), server, physical, virtual, and cloud.
  • Experience with integrating IT/OT security.
  • IT / OT convergence experience is an asset.
Technical Skills/Competence:
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Technologies and infrastructure services: Windows Servers (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and Server Administration.
  • Solid knowledge of IT Systems and applications, including Microsoft SQL server, and information security systems.
  • Modern workplace administration (MS Teams, SharePoint, Power Platforms).
  • Strong scripting background to automate system administration tasks and to generate ad hoc reports as needed (Power Shell, VB Script, etc...).
  • Administer, monitor, and manage data backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Familiarity with Veeam backup & Disaster Recovery.
  • Good project management, organizational, and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to manage upgrades and new product implementations.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.
  • Strong technical understanding of IT and OT systems including infrastructure and applications.
  • Experience with integrating IT and OT systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
