Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled tradesman to join our team at MTD Exteriors as a Woodwork Specialist. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in woodworking and construction, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. They will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining various materials to create high-quality woodwork products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
  • Preparing cost estimates
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Able to relocate as required
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. The successful candidate must be able to work in a combination of these postures.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 CAD based on industry standards and location.
