The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role requires a strong background in safety management and a proactive approach to risk prevention. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing safety practices and procedures across all divisions within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with provincial and federal safety standards
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead and participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analysis
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioners Certificate, CRST, CRSP or a related designation. At least 3-5 years of experience in a safety management or supervisory role is required, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction setting.

A strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential. In-depth knowledge of Provincial regulations and safety management systems is also necessary.

The ability to assess risks and implement effective control measures is critical. Proficient with safety software, reporting tools and Microsoft applications is required.
