The Opportunity

We are seeking a Regional Sales Professional to join our Commercial team in Winnipeg. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing long-term, profitable customer relationships within assigned territories and markets. Responsibilities include commercial activities and negotiations required to maintain profitable growth for assigned customers through consultative selling techniques; monitoring results and developing plans to meet sales goals; performing field sales to build relationships with design-build contractors, mechanical installers, and end-users to ensure that solutions are offered, sold and followed through with; further developing and maintaining accounts through technical support and account servicing.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Build an account base by demonstrating products, services, and technical product solutions.
  • Effectively manage a large geographic territory and maximize business potential.
  • Drive new customer business through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to contractors and direct customers.
  • Enter all customer opportunities into Salesforce and actively manage and maintain opportunity status.
  • Collect customer requirements to quote Request for Proposals from customers including drawings, specifications and contract terms.
  • Facilitate communications between AGI Quote Team and end-users to ensure accurate cost estimating.
  • Work with internal departments and/or divisions to solve problems and develop solutions for customer accounts.
  • Strategize with management to locate and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assist with customer retention by being aware of competitive situations and meeting with the customers.
  • Ensure sales and retention goals for all products are met.
  • Develop and cultivate positive relationships with customers at all levels of the organization.
  • Gather and share competitive information with appropriate internal departments.
  • Assist in development of sales and marketing budget and ensure adherence to the budget numbers.
  • Complete and maintain sales reports, forecasts and customer data.
  • Contribute to a positive Company image, support regional and national trade shows and markets.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated sales or customer service achievements preferably in the Agri-Industry Sector.
  • Possess sales and business acumen, ideally coupled with an Ag Business, Marketing, or Technical degree, or equivalent commensurate experience.
  • Solid sales and marketing capabilities, with a good understanding of market segmentation, product line profitability analysis, and new product development.
  • Proven history of managing a complex technical product line.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail.
  • Superior customer relationship skills, including active listening.
  • Ambition to exceed sales goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter with a high level of engagement with an enthusiasm for the business.
  • Passionately committed to delighting the customer and creating win-win agreements.
  • Able to adapt to changing business conditions with ease and effectiveness.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum. We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
