Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Market Access and Pricing efforts in Canada. As the Head of Oncology Access and Pricing, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure optimal access to our oncology portfolio in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and articulate a long-term vision for our oncology brands in Canada, identifying market changes and new growth opportunities to maximize portfolio and brand potential.
  • Drive the oncology strategic access and pricing plan, demonstrating a high level of market analysis and working closely with global and local teams.
  • Define, implement, and coordinate access and pricing strategies within our alliance portfolios.
  • Responsible for implementing local strategies for new products from our pipeline.
  • Define, recruit, and build the access and pricing organization, aligning with operational objectives and the evolution of our product portfolio.
  • Build and maintain relationships internally and externally, supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Develop value dossiers suitable for the Canadian access environment.
  • Ensure national and regional market access and reimbursement for our oncology portfolio.
  • Collaborate with global and local regulatory teams to ensure alignment on regulatory strategies and timelines for new product launches.
  • Work closely with global and local quality assurance teams to monitor local implications of quality assurance standards and effectively cascade relevant communications to the local team.
  • Develop a tactical customer-centric stakeholder engagement plan for Canada, aligning with commercial and medical affairs functions, and provide internal and external support as required.
  • Develop the team, lead allocation and deployment of resources, drive talent development and performance management with a forward-looking view of future required capabilities, including talent planning and capability assessments, coaching, and mentoring direct reports, succession planning, and oversight of recruitment.
  • Continuous engagement to improve Daiichi Sankyo capabilities, building scientific knowledge, and gathering competitive intelligence to enable effective decision-making, customer engagement, and brand performance.
  • Manage operational access and pricing department budgets.
  • Role model Daiichi Sankyo values and behaviors and comply with internal policies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in pricing, negotiations, market access, HEOR, and RWE at the country level in the Canadian pharma industry, with managerial experience preferably at the director level or leading broad teams.
  • Completed medical, scientific, or economic studies or additional training in the field of health economics or politics.
  • Successful track record in access and pricing and product launches in oncology, preferably in solid tumors.
  • Proven knowledge of key customers and influencers in oncology in Canada.
  • Strong track record in recruiting, building, and managing new teams.
  • Successful experience in team management.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to federate and convince people.
  • Fluency in English, oral and written communication.
  • Track record of strong leadership and development of people and organization with an inspiring and empowering leadership style.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to attract talents, lead, and create a culture of cross-functional collaboration and teamwork that fosters open communication, constructive conflict, and a hands-on mentality.
