Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Food Service Lead to join our team at Indian Tiffin in Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality food service.
  • Source and requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members responsible for food preparation and portioning, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Recruit and hire qualified food service staff, contributing to the growth and success of our team.
  • Monitor and ensure that food and service standards meet quality control expectations, making adjustments as needed to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business optimization.
  • Prepare and submit reports on key performance indicators, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Compile and present detailed food order summaries for our chef, facilitating effective menu planning and inventory management.
  • Establish work schedules that balance efficiency with staff well-being, recognizing the importance of work-life harmony.
Working Conditions and Requirements
  • Manage a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, precision, and organizational skills in all aspects of food service management.
  • Prioritize flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Show initiative, taking proactive steps to address challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Earn dependability and trust from customers and staff alike, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with regular hours.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language used in this role.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
