We are seeking highly skilled Child and Youth Care Practitioners to support families, children, and youth who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges through a goal-focused service in one of Bridgeway's Specialized Foster Homes.

Job Summary

As an Independent Contractor, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides services in Foster Homes and the community. You will work with families and individuals to provide scheduled, goal-focused services, develop goal-focused activities, and maintain case notes and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with the collaborative team.
  • Provide scheduled services to families and individuals, including goal-focused activities.
  • Develop and implement goal-focused activities.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and administrative tasks.
  • Transport children/youth while providing services.
Qualifications
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in a social service discipline (e.g., Child and Youth Care, Developmental Service Worker).
  • Experience providing services to children/youth and/or families with diverse needs.
  • Crisis Intervention Certification (e.g., UMAB) is an asset.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is required.
  • Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills.
Requirements
  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Current Child Welfare Record Check.
  • Driver's Abstract, Class "G" Driver's License.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
  • Computer and personal email address.
