Unlock Your Potential as a Wind Turbine Technician

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team in Alberta. As a key member of our wind farm maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wind turbines, providing excellent service to our customers, and working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines, including electrical systems and mechanical components
  • Work at heights of up to 300 feet, using ladders and stair climbing equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in the development of new field procedures and best practices, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to support other wind farms across Canada

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems and experience working with wind turbines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a high level of quality orientation
  • Good computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft platforms like Outlook and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems and experience working with wind turbines
