Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our Network Engineering team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day network operations, monitor campus network infrastructure, troubleshoot complex wired and wireless connectivity issues, and create technical documentation. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting mission-critical connectivity services and take ownership of the wireless client experience on campus.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting complex wired and wireless network connectivity issues
  • Translating tier-1 and tier-2 feedback into actionable solutions
  • Planning components of network infrastructure upgrades and evergreening projects
  • Collaborating with clients and technical experts to establish project requirements
  • Creating complex technical documentation and user support guides
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Four years of experience providing IT support in a high-volume, client-centric environment
  • Two years of experience supporting wired and 802.11 wireless infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting wireless issues using network analysis tools

This is a full-time position within the Information Technology (IT) department at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
