About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist - Disability Claims. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting clients across Canada and worldwide.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for determining eligibility for short and long-term disability, salary continuance benefits, and assessing claims. You will drive telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure complete understanding of the absence and types of support required to assist with return to work planning.

You will identify and assess medical and non-medical influencing factors pre and post disability, functional capability, restrictions, and limitations. Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required to answer calls from English and French speaking clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine eligibility for short and long-term disability, salary continuance benefits, and assess claims.
  • Drive telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure complete understanding of the absence and types of support required to assist with return to work planning.
  • Identify and assess medical and non-medical influencing factors pre and post disability, functional capability, restrictions, and limitations.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, especially with complex claims and contracts.
  • Great communicator with authentic care and empathy.
  • Comprehensive training program with virtual classroom and ongoing learning to be set up for success.

Benefits and Perks

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also enjoy comprehensive benefits, retirement and stock investment, pay for performance reward, wellness programs, and more.
