Yard Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Yard Attendant to join our team at Spruce View Farm Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately receiving and processing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Accurately receive and process inventory, including loading and unloading shipments
  • Prepare orders for prompt delivery, including picking orders according to customer receipts
  • Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts to move inventory
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset
  • Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
  • Experience running a forklift is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
