Career Opportunity

We're seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at the Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our facilities team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance schedules and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop maintenance plans and set schedules in support of engineering team requirements.
  • Purchase order releases against established 'blanket' agreements in Dynamics 365.
  • Manage transactional processes in the CMMS to ensure accurate maintenance orders and purchase releases.
  • Collaborate with the facilities team to manage capacity constraints.
  • Ensure timely completion of facilities work orders.
  • Expedite and complete routine past-due work orders to support maintenance schedules.
  • Generate work orders using the CMMS system.
  • Release work orders to the engineering team according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Develop and execute improvements to focus on inventory reduction and material shortages.
  • Report established planning metrics to support overall facilities metrics.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business, operations management, or supply chain.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • APICS certification in production and inventory management (CPIM) or certified supply chain professional (CSCP) designation is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced MS Excel, Word, and Access abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and principles is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure in a high-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with a sense of initiative.
