Retail Store Supervisor

Petro-Canada/A&W Restaurant is seeking an experienced Retail Store Supervisor to lead our team.
About the JobThis is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $65,000 per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning duties, and ensuring excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment and possess strong leadership skills. They will be able to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Staff: Lead a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Assign Duties: Allocate tasks to sales workers, prioritizing their workload and ensuring timely completion.
- Hire and Train: Recruit and train new staff members, ensuring they meet the company's standards.
- Authorize Payments: Oversee payment transactions, including cheques and credit card payments.
- Merchandise Returns: Manage returns and exchanges, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Work Schedules: Create and manage employee schedules, balancing workload and staffing needs.
- Sales Performance: Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, preventing stock shortages and overstocking.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely payment and compliance with regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and work under pressure.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
