Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and distributing supplies and equipment to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive and inspect shipments for damages and shortages, and record all receipts into our computerized system.
  • Inventory Management: Count and verify shipments from packing slips to our computerized materials management system, and ensure WHMIS labeling on hazardous materials.
  • Discrepancies and Issues: Handle discrepancies with finance, stores, and purchasing staff, and ensure accurate record-keeping of stock issued and received.
  • Stock Rotation and Maintenance: Ensure stock rotation of all supplies, check expiry dates, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Inventory Control: Manage department inventory levels to ensure correct stock quantities on hand, and take final year-end physical counts.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in data entry and keyboarding, with experience using multiple materials management computerized systems.
  • Physical Abilities: Physically able to perform tasks involving heavy lifting, pushing/pulling, and extensive standing and walking.
  • Experience: Related experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
