Job Overview:



The Enterprise Risk Governance team at Societe Generale Assurances is seeking an experienced Risk Governance Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the consistent application of the Model Risks Governance framework for our Americas division, covering a diverse range of model families.



About the Role:



This role demands a deep understanding of the model lifecycle, requiring you to implement policies and controls that uphold model accuracy, reliability, and suitability. You will play an instrumental role in ensuring these models effectively support decision-making processes within our organization.



Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:




  • Refine the Risk Framework: Enhance the Americas model risk appetite and management framework to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Model Inventory: Engage stakeholders to maintain the Societe Generale Americas Model Inventory and support the annual certification process.
  • Oversee Approval Processes: Manage approvals for initial use, model changes, and ongoing validations to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Validation Teams: Set validation priorities for models, aligning with regulations and industry best practices to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
  • Conduct Quality Control: Perform thorough checks on independent model reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Governance and Reporting: Implement model risk processes, assess risks, and report to governance forums to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Support Regulatory and Audit Preparation: Prepare materials for regulators and internal/external audits to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate on Tech Solutions: Partner with technology teams to build model inventory and workflow solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and Report Issues: Review and monitor remediation actions and distribute governance materials to ensure timely resolution of issues.


Requirements:



To succeed in this role, you will require:




  • 3+ Years of Risk Management Experience: Proven track record in risk management, model risk, with deep knowledge of risk metrics, model controls, and industry standards, including regulatory requirements like SR11-07.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Economics, or a similar field.
  • Policy Documentation Expertise: Strong experience drafting policy and procedure documentation, MIS reports, and materials for senior management, oversight forums, and regulators.
  • Change Management and Influence: Demonstrated success as a trusted partner in implementing changes and fostering adoption among end-users.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Highly collaborative and able to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at prioritization.


Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package, including but not limited to:
