About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Lead with expertise in Agile methodologies and scaling to join our forward-thinking team at Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of talented developers, guide them through complex technical challenges, and drive innovation in software development.
  • Oversee development projects, ensure the successful implementation of Agile practices, and manage competing priorities.
  • Plan and manage large-scale development and implementation programs to ensure that the programs business objectives and stakeholder needs and expectations are met.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and longer-term planning exercises, and build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and resolved.
  • Manage project risks and issues proactively, and monitor and report on project cost variance over the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders from IT and Business areas.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and Delivery Lead with a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on development experience.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and proficiency in Service Now and similar ticketing tools.
  • Proven Experience in working in a scaled model, and certification in one of the scaled methodologies; SAFe, LeSS, Nexus.
  • Hands-on experience leading release management activities for successful delivery of product launches, and understanding of backlog tracking, Scrum and Kanban based metrics.
  • Strong background in API, microservices, and knowledge and experience with Agile techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, Continuous Integration, Testing, etc.
  • Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, and working experience in JIRA/Confluence.
  • Deep understanding of software design principles and patterns, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
