Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, leading a team of sales associates, and driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Store Operations: Supervise and lead the store team to achieve sales and profit goals, while maintaining a high level of customer service and store appearance.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and develop sales associates to achieve their full potential, and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and display of merchandise, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Visual Merchandising: Work with the store team to create visually appealing displays and fixtures that showcase our products and drive sales.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and implement strategies to prevent loss and shrinkage, and ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular sales and operational reports to store management, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Experience: 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business or related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
