Job Summary

Mohawk College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead the Community Studies portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, academic quality, scheduling, and operations of the portfolio, which includes the delivery of diverse programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual and multi-year plans to enhance service deliveries and department operations.
  • Manage full-time and part-time support staff, including scheduling and hiring.
  • Oversee academic activities, including scheduling, course delivery, and bridging to college services.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for course/program delivery and assist with faculty and staff recruitment.
  • Network with college departments, School Boards, and stakeholders to identify opportunities and service gaps.
Requirements
  • Minimum four-year Honours degree or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience, including industry-specific work experience and experience with learning management systems, adaptive technology, and human resources management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, conflict management, and ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and team building skills.
  • Familiarity with external professional organizations and related legislation.
