Purpose and Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned buildings, ensuring a well-maintained and smoothly functioning property. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing thorough knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, M&E, and plumbing.
  • Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and performing regular fire equipment inspections.
  • Performing minor mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and common elements repairs.
  • Completing apartment inspections, unit turnovers, and drywall repairs as needed.
  • Preparing and organizing waste and recycling bins, and performing seasonal outdoor work.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and daily work logs, and being on call outside of regular hours.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience in a maintenance or superintendent role.
  • WHMIS, Working at Heights, and Standard First Aid qualifications.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance or superintendent role, with knowledge of water, lighting, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Basic computer skills and organizational/time management skills.
  • A valid Ontario Class G driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
  • Fluency in English, with French an asset.
