About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Eddie Burger + Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate food and supply costs, ensuring efficient inventory management and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement new menu items, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and sales, providing valuable insights for menu optimization.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes, staying up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Recruit and train new staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, with a proven track record of leadership and culinary expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and consistency in every dish.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
