We are seeking an experienced Energy Industries Digital Solutions Consultant to join our team at ABB Canada.

Your Role
This position involves driving market awareness, articulating ABB's value proposition, and transforming customer needs into successful digital solution orders. You will be responsible for consultative selling, preparing technical proposals, pricing, and delivering product presentations and demonstrations. Your role will involve creating and executing local customer engagement plans to grow market awareness and sales engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute local customer engagement plan to grow market awareness and sales engagements.
- Utilize consulting skills to seek out, understand, and analyze customer needs.
- Engage clients early in the buying cycle and leverage the existing business network to introduce ABB's Asset Performance Management (APM) and Sustainability digital portfolios.
- Expand ABB's relationships beyond Automation into Maintenance/Reliability and Sustainability organizations through a consultative approach.
- Offer technical advice and provide feedback on inquiry specifications to customers and channel partners regarding ABB's APM and Sustainability product portfolios.
- Support the local Sales organization in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective digital solutions and in the preparation of complex offerings.
- Provide digital solution technical support during meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations.
- Offer solution-related training internally and externally.
- Create local trials and pilots of digital technologies.
- Prepare and review technical articles for publication, as well as topics for conferences and webinars.
- Manage sales opportunities in CRM tool, collaborate with Sales to ensure data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Create and deliver effective sales training for the designated portfolio.
- Ensure that orders budget and growth targets are achieved in the respective Regions and for the assigned product portfolios.
- FOLLOW UP ON IMPLEMENTATION STATUS AND ISSUES.
- Support preparation of technical and commercial offers based on customer specification requirements and Sales organization directives.
- Define cost for the proposed solution, negotiate necessary product discounts, and communicate it to Proposals organization.
- Ensure product differentiation and value proposition in proposals.
- Provide information for the risk review process, in accordance with ABB policy, and participate in the risk review assessment, if required.
- Perform analysis on lost bids, identify potential causes, and recommend future actions in cooperation with Sales organization and local business unit to obtain better future results.
- Share functional best practices and lessons learned, across the organization.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in consultative sales or technical sales support related to asset performance and health management applications.
- Familiarity with APM software platforms, such as GE Vernova, Aveva, Aspentech, Baker Hughes, Honeywell Forge.
- Familiarity with CMMS, EAM, and preventive maintenance enterprise technology space.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from a recognized university (ideally Mechanical Engineering).
- Previous working experience as a Reliability Engineer or reliability program member/contributor.
- Interest and passion in energy transformation technologies and solutions to optimize, electrify, and decarbonize energy industries.
- Customer-facing experience in software product sales environment.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent business acumen and presentation skills.
- High technical aptitude and strong interest to learn new technologies.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Valid Canadian passport.
- Must be results-driven.

$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
