Job Title: Senior Manager Commercial Credit Risk

Join National Bank of Canada (NBC) as a Senior Manager Commercial Credit Risk and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in risk management and commercial credit analysis.

About the Role

This position is part of the credit risk team at NBC, responsible for analyzing and managing commercial credit risk. As a Senior Manager, you will be a key player in developing and implementing risk management strategies to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex commercial credit applications and make informed decisions on credit approvals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business lines to support risk management and credit analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate credit risk.
  • Design and implement risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members on credit analysis and risk management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting, economics) and 7 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA) or CFA certification, an asset.
  • Proven experience in commercial credit analysis and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

  • Ability to influence leaders and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with business partners.
