Atria Retirement Canada - Victorian is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our culinary team. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and organized individual who can maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
- A food handlers permit (as required by provincial law and/or company standards)
You must be able to read and follow recipes, cleaning schedules, and logs, and have knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking, and service.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus
- Maintaining kitchen and food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition
- Working closely with the Executive Chef and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs
Atria Retirement Canada - Victorian offers a competitive salary, including an estimated $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. In addition to your salary, we offer:
