Job Summary

The United Church of Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Regional Council, you will provide administrative support to our Regional Ministers, coordinate meetings and events, and maintain our website and communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Regional Ministers, including meeting preparation and event coordination
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including booking rooms and arranging logistics
  • Maintain our website and communication channels, including updating content and managing forms
  • Assist with financial matters, including paying bills and updating contact files

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a not-for-profit setting
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Office 365, Dynamics, and Adobe
  • Knowledge of website design and social media platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Working Conditions

  • Works from the Regional Council Office in Sackville, NB, with flexibility for some work from home
  • Sitting and viewing a computer screen for long periods, keyboarding/using voice recognition software, intermittent physical activity

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $41,548 to $47,353, with the ability to progress to a maximum of $44,397. This is based on category 2 on our salary range. Placement on the salary range will be based on factors such as market condition, internal equity, candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role. Pension and group benefit plans coverage and annual vacation round out this compensation package.
