Business Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Support Specialist to join our team at Fluid - Solutions de Talents/Workforce Solutions in Toronto and Mississauga office.
Job Description- Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the department by executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of business strategies and objectives. You will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Main Accountabilities:
Serve as a champion of customer-focused culture: Deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Provide high-level administrative support: Discretion, confidentiality, good understanding of technical and business vocabulary, and detailed knowledge of the organization's operations, procedures, and people required.
- Supporting Executives:
You will gather, compile, verify, and analyze information for executive use in documents such as memos, letters, reports, speeches, presentations, and news releases. Perform tasks using independent judgment and discretion; e.g., preparing documents and presentation materials, screening and responding to incoming correspondence, inquiries, and phone calls, drafting letters and official information releases, arranging and attending meetings, taking and distributing minutes.
- Financial Management:
You will monitor, review, and approve standard expenditures to ensure activities are conducted within established budgets. Manage variance analysis and ensure alignment on a monthly basis. Act as primary liaison and coordinator for department initiatives.
- Additional Responsibilities:
You will act on email, in-person, or online requests received in the senior officer's absence or seek guidance as required. Book and coordinate meetings, townhalls, and other events by preparing agenda items, coordinating logistics, and venue setup.
You will understand how the bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective area, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations regarding operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
- Fostering a Positive Work Environment:
You will foster a positive work environment by promoting, participating, and supporting team engagement events online and in the campus.
Required Skills and Qualifications- College or University education required.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Solid knowledge of business/bank terminology and departmental procedures.
- High level of discretion required when dealing with confidential matters.
