Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Multi-Function Lab department, you will be responsible for performing laboratory work and related duties in the fields of Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide timely and effective patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved course in Medical Technology.
  • Registration with the British Columbia Society of Laboratory Science (BCSLS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
