About the Role:

Alcool NB Liquor is seeking a Business Analyst Team Lead to support the overall delivery of the Business Analysis team. Reporting to the Manager of Business Solutions, this senior-level role will track team activities, recommend courses of action, and resolve escalated issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to the set work process and provide guidance to the BA team in accordance with the policy.
  • Provide overall BA team support, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads.
  • Review BA team deliverables for quality and consistency.
  • Coach other BAs, answer escalated questions when necessary.
  • Analyze and define BA team best practices, recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist Project Manager to establish project timelines, including estimation of requirements documentation and testing efforts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Document business and system requirements, including feasibility studies, prepare business cases, and conduct initial risk assessments.
  • Analyze current state and future state system capabilities to make recommendations and design solutions.
  • Create project analysis documentation, including requirements, scope, milestones, use cases, future state proposals, UAT plans, test cases, or process flows diagramming using Microsoft Visio.
  • Identify and escalate issues to ensure corrective actions are taken and project objectives are achieved.
  • Work with the Sr. Project Manager to coordinate and provide Project Health Report (PHR) on all assigned small projects.

Technical Requirements:

  • Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI Reporting, Power Platform (Apps), Azure, SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Business application systems, including e-Commerce, warehouse management software, POS, data warehousing, master data management, EDI, Finance, Payroll, etc.
  • Work tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Project, Task Planning.

Required Experience:

  • Business analysis experience as part of an ERP Transformation Project and subsequent ongoing business and solution support post go-live.
  • Previous experience across a variety of departments, including category management (beverage/food product-centric), marketing, product demand planning, warehousing, distribution & logistics, finance, business intelligence & master data.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Previous experience leading or managing a small team.

  • Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate, and encourage team to accomplish their goals.

  • Builder collaborative relationships to gain consensus, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives.
  • Advocate who promotes team contributions across the organization.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, facilitation, change management, and process improvement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the retail or CPG industry.
  • Experience working with ERPs, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong project management skills to develop project plans and specifications, estimate time and resources, monitor milestones, track progress, and provide timely updates.

Location:

  • Reporting into the Retail Operations Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Note:

  • The successful candidate must be based in New Brunswick.
  • Hybrid work environment with possibilities of semi-regular travel to Fredericton for meetings and critical incidents will be required.
  • Only candidates with legal authorization to work in Canada will be considered.
