Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

At Mission Donair Shack, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food counter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Load buspans and trays with dishes, glassware, and flatware, and operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize items.
  • Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to maintain kitchen cleanliness.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods to meet customer demands.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and take orders to ensure accurate and timely service.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
