Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and performance. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Drive commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over long distances, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
  • Load and unload goods in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo during transit.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Communication and Documentation:
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment effectively.
  • Understand and complete accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports accurately.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks safely.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with minimal fatigue.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions and environments.
Weight Handling and Equipment:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) frequently.
  • Operate cellular phone and other communication devices as required.
  • Wear steel-toed safety boots and hard hat as necessary.
Personal Qualities:
  • Demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Show flexibility in adapting to changing schedules and circumstances.
  • Exercise sound judgement in high-pressure situations.
