New Value Solutions, a leading national IT consulting company, is seeking an experienced Transformational Business Strategy Consultant to drive strategic initiatives and stakeholder engagement. This role involves developing strategic plans and roadmaps that align with future operational needs, deliver impactful recommendations, and facilitate collaboration to enhance provincial health service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Health Authorities (HAs), external and internal stakeholders, and vendor partners to support the development of key deliverables, strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps.
  • Capture reporting requirements for all stakeholders and service providers to support program service delivery/management.
  • Support adjudicating the feasibility and effectiveness of indicators to establish overall program success.
  • Conduct a Current State Assessment, analyzing data quality, existing data landscape, impacts on operations, reporting capabilities, and challenges/gaps.
  • Establish a shared understanding of data content, categories, format, workflow, and definitions.
  • Develop future state reporting requirements and defined paths for integration with Lines of Business (LOBs).
  • Understand future state data requirements and gaps needed to support initiative development and related technology roadmap.
  • Work with Service Alignment Lead, Clinical Outcomes Lead, and others to align outputs into a future state roadmap endorsed by the organization.
  • Provide recommendations, including Options Analysis, Risks, Benefits, TCO/ROI, and related costs, as well as data governance framework, data standards, and policies.
  • Develop Stakeholder Engagement Plans, lead, and facilitate meetings, working sessions, etc., to support key deliverable completion.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Engagement Lead or Business Planning Consultant.
  • Prior successful experience working with executive-level stakeholders in developing/facilitating strategic stakeholder engagement strategies, plans, and associated roadmaps within the BC Health sector.
  • Demonstrated transformational leadership experience within BC Health Authorities or the BC Ministry of Health.
  • Superior analytical skills, including comprehending, analyzing, and resolving complex issues and presenting information in concise meaningful ways.
  • Exceptional strategic, tactical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise in designing data governance frameworks, data modeling, and database design to support comprehensive data strategy, ensure data quality, and actionable insights.
  • Ability to describe business/clinical outcomes and benefits in layperson terms.
  • Previous nursing experience is an asset, specialized in front-line care and strategic consultancy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, while influencing and supporting.
  • Excellent proficiency in data analysis, project management software, and MS Office suite.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Relationship building at all levels (end-users to C-level).
  • Sound decision-making and proven leadership in challenging climates where consensus building is key for success.
  • Ability to define and guide executive leadership towards a vision while maintaining group cohesiveness, motivation, commitment, and effectiveness.
  • Strong leadership skills that motivate and encourage collaboration.
  • Understanding of how to interpret customer business and clinical needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to political and other issues and their impact on healthcare.
