About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Resource Supervisor to join our dynamic Collections Operations West team.

The Collections Operations West team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing management, execution, and evaluation of support activities within Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Resource Support Staff for Supply Chain, Collections, Logistics, Production, and Distribution to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Manage, execute, and evaluate support activities to ensure effective and efficient people and process management.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate changes to processes to improve accuracy, efficiencies, and cost-effectiveness of daily operations.
  • Maintain and update written work processes of clerical office procedures and review clerical/administrative tasks related to clinic planning and supply chain operations.
  • Oversee scheduling and timekeeping for Collections, Logistics, Production, and Distribution in the region and ensure accurate and timely entries for SAP, ESS/AMSR, and Payroll.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, preferably in a regulated and unionized environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with French communication skills as an asset.
  • Technical skills including MS Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities, along with interpersonal skills to work with staff and management at all levels.

This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at the Canadian Blood Services Winnipeg location 50% of the time, Monday to Friday, 8-4, with some flexibility. Travel will be required quarterly within Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
