About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Workforce Optimization team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative software solutions to automate labor management and staffing decisions across processes and functions at Amazon's global fulfillment network locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance, test-driven code to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system components, improvements, and integrations.
  • Work with and maintain a large existing code base, as well as new components, to ensure production code is maintained and deployment and QA processes are contributed to.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
