About the Role

Renfrew Educational Services is a leading provider of educational programs and services for youth and children with disabilities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Psychologist to join our team as a Program Development Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement programs that support the educational and therapeutic needs of youth and children with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment goals and plans to assist in determining therapeutic progress.
  • Provide assessment and therapy services to youth and children with disabilities, including individual and group counseling, play therapy, and behavioral support planning.
  • Consult with school staff, families, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student access to curriculum and engagement in school activities.
  • Travel to various locations in southern Alberta to provide services, including schools, community centers, and private ECS programs.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology and current registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Experience working with youth and children with special needs and their families.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and experience with assessment, intervention, and counseling in various areas, including psychoeducational, social/emotional, behavioral, Autism, FASD, and Learning Disabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid Alberta Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
