Faculty Position in Electrical Engineering and Technology

BCIT's School of Energy is seeking a regular, full-time Faculty member to teach in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology. This department offers diplomas in electrical engineering technology with options in automation and instrumentation, electrical power and industrial control, and telecommunications and networking, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver lectures and laboratory activities
- Develop course material
- Evaluate student progress
- Supervise student projects
- Support the day-to-day operations of the department
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics, integrated engineering, or process engineering
- Minimum five years of relevant hands-on industry experience
- Registration (or eligibility to register) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or limited licence is desired
- Effective command of the English language – both written and oral
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in teams and independently
- A proven record of professional development to stay current with new technologies and industry practices and a strong desire to maintain this currency
