Project Overview

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our utility construction projects in BC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, ensuring budget, schedule, and quality targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, including construction phasing and logistics.
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project close-out activities, including financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts and agreements with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, engineering firms, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or equivalent discipline.
  • Expertise and experience in the wet utility construction industry, including oil & gas, water, sewer, drainage, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of utility construction methods and techniques, including trenching and excavating, shoring, deep utilities, tie-ins, etc.
  • Experience with contract and subcontract management, including claims identification, narration, quantification, and evaluation.
  • Proven track record with claims management and dispute resolution on major projects.

What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $125,000, depending on experience.
