Data Scientist

About the Role
The Data Scientist will play a key role in developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experience. This includes leveraging machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence to mine and analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and constructing new processes for modeling data
- Developing predictive models and leveraging big data technology to design solutions that deliver smarter business decisions
- Collaborating with other data and analytics professionals and teams to optimize, refine, and scale analysis into mature analytics solutions
- Playing an active role in the futuristic display of data and advancement of innovative data strategies to understand consumer trends and address business problems
- Using data mining and extracting usable data from valuable data sources to assess feasibility of AI/ML solutions for improved processing and usage of organization data
- Conducting large-scale analysis of information to discover patterns and trends by combining different modules and algorithms
- Using analysis to provide recommendations and advice for business leaders to maintain market competitiveness
- Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms and investigating additional technologies and tools for developing innovative data solutions for business stakeholders
- Collaborating together with the product team and partners to understand and provide data-driven decision making, business planning, and future roadmap
- Exercising judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
- Working independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- Foundational level of proficiency in deep learning, machine learning, trust, bias, and ethics, creative thinking, and critical thinking
- Intermediate level of proficiency in mathematics, statistics, operations research, big data, data visualization, computational thinking, programming, data wrangling, data preprocessing, complex problem solving, analytical acumen, creative reasoning, verbal and written communication skills, collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence skills, and data-driven decision making
- A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $65,400.00 - $121,800.00. BMO offers a comprehensive total compensation package that includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
