Reliability Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Asset Uptime Strategist to spearhead maintenance and reliability operations across our nationwide manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role demands a strong leader with exceptional strategic planning, communication, and technical skills to drive continuous improvement in our maintenance and reliability practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic maintenance and reliability initiatives to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert guidance, coaching, and support in achieving maintenance and reliability objectives.
- Utilize advanced tools and techniques, such as Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Modeling, and Failure Reporting, to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Support the deployment of the BIMBO Canada Asset Management Plan, ensuring consistency, standardization, and efficiency across all facilities.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee master data activities related to equipment hierarchy, criticality, registration/deregistration of assets, and spare parts management.
- Collaborate with CAPEX Engineering teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
- Lead the Long-Term Asset Replacement Plan, addressing high-risk critical bakery assets.
- Develop and manage a cost-effective Predictive Maintenance program.
- Drive safety, quality, and accountability within the maintenance organization.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on maintenance and reliability performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical or electrical preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in maintenance & reliability management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of leadership and success in developing and implementing maintenance & reliability strategies and programs.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical control systems.
- Experience managing remote teams and multiple facilities.
- Working knowledge of maintenance management system software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Criteria:
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) would be an asset.
- Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of building infrastructure maintenance tasks and utilities is a plus.
- Experience with food processing, CFIA, and HACCP would be an asset.
- Bi-Lingual (English & French) is a must for the role.
