Senior Manager of Mental Health and Resilience Development

The Canadian Red Cross is an inspirational not-for-profit organization committed to having an accessible, diverse, inclusive, and barrier-free work environment. As Canada's Best Employers 2024, we strive to support people and communities in times of need.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) strategy within Alberta Wildfires recovery operations. The selected candidate will lead program management and monitoring/evaluation to ensure alignment with standards and objectives.
We are seeking a strong leader with experience in emergency/disaster management, program development, and implementation. A degree in social work, nursing, education, or a comparable related field is required, along with registration as a professional in good standing. A certificate in project management is considered a strong asset.
This position requires excellent leadership, managerial skills, and problem-solving abilities in complex, high-pressure environments. Fluency in English is essential, and working knowledge of an additional language is considered a strong asset. Experience with Indigenous populations is also desirable.
As this role involves remote work, a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving abstract are required. Periodic travel to partner meetings or field missions may be necessary, which can involve working in unstable and unpredictable conditions. You should have demonstrated ability to work in stressful and often ambiguous situations.
We welcome applications from candidates eligible to work in Canada. If you are not a citizen or permanent resident, please review your visa to determine if you are eligible to work in this job. Refer to our FAQ for more information.
Please note that you will be required to complete a successful pre-employment screening process, including a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
This position offers a competitive salary range of $63,458 - $79,323 per year, depending on location and experience.
